For those of you who have purchased beef through our partner farm this is a great recipe to try out with your roast. Since the cattle are 100% grass-fed the fat content is much less and requires a little tweaking on roast recipes. This recipe is by far the best roast recipe that I've ever eaten!

Ingredients
- 3-4 lbs grass-fed roast
- 1-2 teaspoons ground pepper
- 1-2 tablesppons seasoning salt we use the BAJO seasoning
- 1 large onion cut into large diced pieces
- 5 cloves garlic smashed
- 1 bell pepper cut into large diced pieces
- 3 cups broth you can use beef or chicken - we use chicken bone broth
- 3-4 large potatoes
- 2 carrots cut into large diced pieces
- 2 tablespoons avacado or extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tabespoons grass-fed butter

Instructions
- Rub the season salt and pepper all over the roast. Heat a pan on the stove to slightly above medium. Allow pan to heat up. Add the avacado oil and butter and sear the roast on all sides.
- Once the roast is seared, add the roast to the slow cooker. Add all the veggies except the carrots and potatoes and broth around the roast.
- Cover and cook on the warm setting for at least 15 hours.
- After the 15 hours, add the potatoes and carrots and cook on low for 5 more hours.
